Can you tell me a little more about your hosting environment? Are you running Apache or Nginx? Are you running any other caching plugins or are you hosting with WP Engine?
I really enjoyed Quick Cache, but for some reason it returned “empty response” according to Chrome every once in a while.
Empty responses are usually related to server-side configuration errors. I have seen this happening with Varnish, btw.
are you hosting with WP Engine?
From what I know WPEngine doesn’t allow other caching plugins. I may be wrong.

@disent I haven’t seen this issue before and I’m not able to recreate it. Like @pothi said, it’s most likely related to a server-side configuration and you’ll need to diagnose that with your web host. It’s also possible that it’s related to something your web host is doing with the network requests.

If anyone is interested it currently seems as the problem was related to eAccelerator. My host has switched it with APC and hopefully everything will work now.
Thanks.
@disent Thanks so much for the update! If you can confirm that eAccelerator was indeed the problem and that everything is working fine now that you’ve switched to APC, I’ll go ahead and update the Troubleshooting guide with this information.
