Empty page + "done" !!! What to do?! (13 posts)

    1. Last week, I added a pdf file to the /html (WordPress root, in my case) folder on my server.
    2. Today morning, I woke up to see my wordpress website (http://www.themanupblog.com) wasn't working. Whether I went to the main page or admin section, all I got was a blank page with the word "done".
    3. I tried upgrading wordpress through GoDaddy back-end (didn't help); old version was 3.4.1, new - 3.4.2. I can rollback to old version.
    4. I don't know what to do. I copied my files off my ftp, maybe I can just use that to restore my website from a fresh installation. Please help me if you know what to do, guys, any advice appreciated!

Yes, I have :( What's confusing is the site ran properly with that file on it for days!

    How can I do that?

Edit: If you're talking about clearing the cache on my computer, I've already tried!

i think while upgrading through your back end you corrupted your previous database . Do you have backup of your site when it was working fine

My host keeps a mirror of the webpage from yesterday but that's about it. However, all the files on my ftp seem to be intact.. What's the best thing to do?

Here's what I have.. a few files as they were yesterday and 98% of files intact as they were yesterday + today.

Ask your hosts to restore your database.

you are getting "done" there . i think it is because you messed your database while upgrading from backend . You have to get it restored as esmi said

OK, made the request right now, got this:

The oldest database is from yesterday only unfortunately, but that's what I got right now. If this doesn't work, what should I do? (Sorry for getting ahead of myself, but nothing else has worked so just being safe :))

@Kulwant gotcha, thanks a lot to both of you guys, but:

I did the restore and nothing happened :(.

Outside of the database, everything else seems to be fine. What's my best chance to restore my blog with all the comments and everything else?

Unless you have access to an older database backup, there's nothing you can do I'm afraid, :-(
