Embedding WP Cycle in a widget (5 posts)

Hi, is there any way to embed it in a widget?

I tried with the [wp_cycle] shortcode in a text widget but I had no luck. :(

    Matteoa,
Let me know if you figure this out. I was under the impression you could run the script in a text box widget but it's not working.

Shortcodes are usually for pages and posts, if I recall, and won't work in the default Text Widget.

Perhaps you might try to use the PHP Code Widget Plugin with the <?php wp_cycle(); ?> snippet instead?

No won't work for me either - annoying!

Not least since advice says: Alternatively, you can use the shortcode [wp_cycle] in a post or page to display the slideshow.

I was able to get this plugin to work using the PHP Code Widget Plugin per andrewmills' suggestion with the space between the semicolon and ? removed from the snippet.
