Embedding WordPress with PHP.
-
Hello residents,
I have only been using wordpress for a week a now. I’m desperate to include my wordpress blog within my new website. I’ve installed wordpress, improted my wordpress.com blog, and setup a relevant database correctly. However there are something I am not able to understand, which I hope I get some help with. I don’t expect any indepth answers, but any clues/leads would be most appreciated.
1. Is it possible for me to embed WordPress in my site. I understand I can just alter the theme to make it ‘look correct’ however I still want to include my original heading, and sidebar navigation. There is a content div, which I’d liek the whole blog to reside in. Although I read I could do this with iframes, that method sounds a bit flawed.
2. I’ve also read here that some just migrate their whole site over to a wordpress structure. This isn’t possible for me as I want to keep the original site in tact. So I can edit with more freedom. This is why I believe utilising php is probably the way forward.
This is where I get stuck and new a hand to move on a few steps.
Thanks for reading this mess of a post.cheers.

In order to include anything from WordPress you’d have to do several file includes, by the time you’ve done that you might aswell have been embedding your site into WordPress.
Question has been asked before, have a look through the results here.
http://wordpress.org/search/embedding++wordpress?forums=1thanks for your response.
I have looked through the more pertinent questions. However non really seem to answer the questions. I guess the term integration is better then embed. I have no desire to embed my site into wordpress, so I guess i’ll ‘have to do several files’. Do you mean by adapting the php? This is the bit I really need some guidance with.cheers.
*bump* Any moroe advice people. I think there are some website which offer advice for my needs here, but they are not coherent. Any thoughts?
