   Hello,

   Im trying to embed some videos into my site without using a 3rd party site that embeds and links videos.

   Has anyone here done that? Is there a plugin you use or can it be done with the current tools? Can you customize the player?

   FLV Embed is one plugin - searching plugins may have resulted in this, and possibly others too...

   @Wendel I saw that, and I like the look. How much did you end up having to pay for the license?

   I haven't bought it yet, but isn't it like 20 Euros, $40 or so?

   I like to use Flash to configure the players and I'm still on Flash 8 which uses ActionScript 2. The JW player requires AS3. Adobe is releasing Flash CS4 on the 15th for the same price as CS3, so I'm waiting for that before installing the JW player.

   Might be worth a read before investing $ - unless you really need a commercial license, of course.

   Hi Clayton,

   Yeah, I saw that. But I'm also interested in his LongTail advertising network, so a commercial license is part of the deal anyway. For me.

   I tried using FLV as they looked as though they had a good product, and they very well may have! I'm now using bitsontherun (bitsontherun.com) and have been very pleased. I have their videos embedded on my blog and it was quite easy. I just wish I could understand the workings of the blog better!!

    I haven't done a full install so I don't know how to debug yet. But they have an active help forum. I'm not refusing to help, just saying they might be better at it.

    Bitsontherun is part of the same company group.

    No prob, I ended up installing this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flv-embed/

    I just cant seem to embed the video once I upload it.
