• I have just begun my blog and am almost done customizing it. The biggest issue I’ve been having is finding a good gallery plugin. The ones offered that I’ve found are not professional enough so I’ve decided to export flash galleries via Adobe Lightroom 3.

My question is this: Once I export from Lightroom, I’m left with my .zip file containing a folder with all my images, some script pages, and the .swf file. HOW do I post this on a page? I’ve tried uploading each file within the zip individually and the zip as a whole (like you would for themes), but nothing. How do I embed all of these files into a page? Thank you!!

  • Hi, Sarah–
I’m having a related problem – I uploaded a Lightroom gallery but I can’t get it to load on my site. It looks like you managed to get your problem fixed (I’m looking at your portfolio pages). Did you use a plug-in to embed the gallery in your page? Any words of wisdom you can share as far as how to get it working?

    Thanks!

Hi there! I came across a number of solutions but I ended up going with a plugin because the upload and organization of my images were well laid out.

I use the Plug-in NextGen Flashviewer. You will need the regular Next Gen installed first…and then install their Flashviewer plugin. So far it’s worked like a charm! The install for Flashviewer took a bit longer because there is some slight changes you need to make to the folders, but not hard, just tedious.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

Thanks, Sarah. I think I’ve got the NextGen Flashviewer installed, but now I’m confused about what you are uploading. I created a slideshow in Lightroom and uploaded it to my site, but NextGen is asking for .zip files and that’s not what I’ve got. When I try exporting the slideshow it doesn’t give me the option to send it to a .zip file. Did you export the slideshow and then zip it, or is there something else I’m missing here?

    Sorry to keep bugging you…
