   Hello All,

   I want to embed video in wordpress from external website.
   i should be able to embedd video like this.
   [mywebsite url=""]

   here video will be embedded from external source.
   is this possible with wordpress?

   Sagar,

   What external site? Youtube or something like that? What format is that video in? Is it flash? Link to your own site always helps as well.

   as an update:
   when i paste my link in "Upload Video" and then press Embed it will shows that this is not supported.
   I searched for the same and i found some work around but not usefull.

   so can anyone help me on this?

   Hi shirazdrum,

   external site means i have my own site .
   e.g. http://www.xyz.com and i have one page there which contains object tag which plays flash media,

   i want to post that video.

   So let me see if i get, You have a flash video on your own hosted site which you want to share with someone else outside of your site?

   Yes, you got it right,
   i want to share video[embed that video in my post] from my own site.
   i am not able to do that.

   Is there any way to do that?

   Hi i have tried it another way and i am succeeded a bit.

   In that , i am using below URL:
   http://qa.alliancetek.com/demoiqmedia/embed.aspx
   so when i click on "embed" it will show that video.
   but while i click on "Publish Video" it will not show video over there but only above URL.

   Is there anything that i am missing to embed video?
