Hi when ever I try an embed a video from youtube ( or anywhere for that matter) it does not take on the native size no matter what demensions I give it. This is very frustrating as I need to have the video widescreen and bigger. If it makes a diffrence I am using a theme called "Corporate".
I am have alot of problems with WordPress thats effecting my site. I wish it worked. Anybody have a solution? I am also using Smart Tube and Tubepress, neither worked...

This is arguably the best plugin to post embedded videos from not only youtube but a ton of other sites:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-video-plugin/
After activating the plugin, use this syntax to embed videos:
[youtube vIwm9jUjLvk]
The "vIwm9jUjLvk" is the numbers/;letters you get after the v= in a youtube video's page url.
If you want a different size then the default, you can use:
[youtube id width height]

Thanks that did fix the problem, however it revealed another. The videos resize on any page but the homepage. For the homepage its still a fixed size no matter what. Im using it in query post if that makes a diffrence. Is there CSS code or soemthing I need to change? thanks

Try changing the default player size. Download the plugin's page via ftp and do a Control + F to open up the find dialog box, type Youtube and change the width and height values to suit your taste. Save and upload.
