Hi forum.
I am trying to add my own video into a post so that it plays. I have uploaded via the media uploader and also via ftp server. When I try to add it to post I get a link rather than a player.
I have even tried adding [video][/video] tags as I have seen this before as a shortcode.
Can anyone shed a light on this.
Also if anyone can also answer how to make it appear in a lightbox style when as an alternative viewing method this would be great.

It would be easy if you just use e you-tube plugin, it saves you space as well on you'r hosted server!!
Thanks for the reply hair-but. I agree it would be easier, however I have members content that I don't want to put on youtube.

Aha , so you want it private then yes!!!
Then just make a private page and embed a video :)
LMAO. Yes I want it private, but if I make a private page and embed surely people can still find it on youtube so they don't need to pay ;)

then download a plugin player which is not for you-tube lol.
