rss feeds compensate for that to some extent. but yup a mailing list funtionality as a hack would be cool too!
Yeah, most of my blog’s audience wouldn’t know about, or care about, rss, so email updates would be much more useful 😉
i dont have an audience… so i am cool with anything 🙂

Yeah, this sounds great. Now, what I’d like to know is if there is there some easy functionality that is already out there that can convert what the RSS feeds have into emails? With PHP, this should be easily done, yet I’d still like to know the how of it. Any feedback on this would be great. This sounds like a great project! 🙂

I’ve done something like this, i’ve used as “muse” the code from imagesafari.com, made some big changes.
No pbroblem to contribute it to you, but it is somehow hardwired in to my blog and making it available would not me such of use.
are there docs that explain how to code plugins for WP? then I could transform it from the form it is now to something more useful for everyone.
