The admin email set at wp-admin->Settings->General should get an email notification if you check the “E-mail me whenever” boxes at wp-admin->Settings->Discussion. If those are set correctly and you aren’t getting email, are you sure that your website can send email at all?

That screen does not include an option to get notified when I have new subscribers. That screen is only for Comments, not for subscription notifications.
I have new subscribers
That should happen by default. It has been that way since I can remember. Are you sure your website can send email at all?
s_ha_dum – The subscriber role is not the same as subscribing for email updates. 🙂 You’re right, you get emails for new users of the site, but that’s not what taneya’s asking.
taneya – That isn’t an option with Jetpack. You can go to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats and see who’s signed up, but it’s not available yet.
Sorry for the confusion. This is a JetPack issue, then?
I wouldn’t say an ‘issue’ 🙂 It’s like saying my car doesn’t fly yet. 😉

Mike – you’re exactly right – I was looking for the Jetpack info. Well, at least I know I haven’t overlooked it. I’ll definitely be putting this in as a suggestion for future enhancements for it would be a great option.
Love the car analogy 🙂
Thanks to both of you!

I’ve considered that an issue for many, many years now.
I didn’t realize there was a plugin involved. Thanks.
