   Hi everyone,

   I've literally spent days trying to get email working on my wordpress. None of the options I have tried have worked which to me suggests maybe I have something fundamental wrong like sending mail permissions or something? I know my SMTP details are correct, so that is not the problem.

   The error I get in ShiftThis is:

   Connection to the given MTA failed. The Connection Interface said: Permission denied

   I've google'd and yahoo'd and I cannot find anywhere anyone with this error.

   With wpphpmailer I just get the "your host may have disabled the mail() function" error.

   I've tried various different SMTP setting with the same result...

   To check I setup email on the fedora server with the same SMTP settings and it sent mail fine.

   For info this is on Fedora Core 6/Apache/PHP5.

   If anyone can shed some light or give me some new ideas to try I'd really appreciate it because I've now come to a complete dead end!
