[resolved] Email notifications triggered only manually (2 posts)

    Hi there,

    I'm running WP 3.6 and WooCommerce 2.0.13, everything is up to date here.

    The thing is order email notifications are not being triggered when the payment gatway API sends the return and changes the order status to processing.

    However, if I change status to processing manually, everything works fine, which means email functions are ok.

    Payment gateway is set all right and return works fine too.

    Sender's email address has the same domain and is valid. There's nothing more I can think of to solve it. Can anybody help please?

    Just for the record, after a lot more tests, I've found out problem was with the default settings of my shared host provider server and those settings would not be changed. Somehow the default settings were preventing the emails from being delivered using the wp_mail() function when order statuses were automatically changed.

    I solved this problem by using Configure SMTP Plugin. Now emails are properly sent when order status changes either manually or automatically. There was nothing wrong with WooCommerce Plugin.
