@rahul,
So the email log plugin only shows a few emails? That means only that many are generated, Does WordPress behave normally when you publish new content or do you get timeouts or white pages?
The issue may be ram and time limits on the web server causing the task to terminate before it is complete.
Hi Matty,
Thanks for responding. WordPress behaves just fine when I publish new posts or when new pages are created. I had also changes the time out time on php.config file and I had also increased the size of RAM from 64MB to 256MB.
Not sure what is causing the problem?
Thanks
Rahul
@rahul,
You could try reseting Subscribe2 in the Settings page under the miscellaneous tab and see if that does anything.
I followed you instructions and rested the settings. However, the issue still exists. Can you please help on this?
Thanks
Rahul
I have almost the same problem. I had a old version (I missed 2 or major releases) and everything was fine. Then after the update I started to have problems: no email were sent. Every time I publish a new post I have just a few or no email sent (If I set a lower value for maxium recipient per mail it seems to get better).
Moreover since the update sometimes my web provider send me a mail for exceeding the maximum mail per hour (I have 100 mail/hour limit). There were change in how the queue was handled ? I will send a mail also to my provider just to know if they change something too.
Can I have the link for the trouble shooting guide ?
I also suggest, as future improvement, a mail per hour limit.
@orion42,
Troubleshooting guide is here:
http://subscribe2.wordpress.com/2013/09/17/troubleshooting-emails-in-subscribe2/
(Second hit if you Google for “Subscribe2 Troubleshooting”)
Limiting mails per hour is handled well by other plugins, something like WordPress Mail Queue for example:

Thanks for your response Matty. My blog has been acting weird since yesterday. When I publish a post my chrome spins for like 2 mins and then I receive a 500 internal server error. However, My post do get published and emails are sent to the subscribers within that 2mins. once the server gives the error, subscribe 2 stops sending email.
Are you aware of any issue like this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rahul
@rahul,
500 Internal Server errors simply tell you something is wrong on the server. Ask your hosting provider to check into the server logs to see if they can provide any more specific details to help narrow this down.
