P, sorry for the slow reply by phone. Our core team has been away last week.

We’d like to get the plugin working with BuddyPress in this way. To be clear you’d like:

    1. To be able to use the BuddyPress registration page when PMPro is enabled.

    2. To be able to use the BuddyPress email confirmation option with PMPro enabled.

    3. Use PMPro for paid members only.

I’ll try to find a work around for this. In the meantime, you can try to redirect your members to sign up on the PMPro pages and can offer a free level and use this addon here for email confirmation with PMPro.

Integrating PMPro with BuddyPress (or BuddyPress alone really) can be a pretty intensive process that requires custom code.

How to add email confirmation on paid memberships pro

Confirmation emails are not going when someone registers with PMPro signup form. How do I fix this? @strangerstudios

    Huzanf and Riyaz,

Check email signup with buddypress / pmpro disabled.
If that fails, check your firewall / server email settings.

    After both of those work:

The problem is normally fixable with a plugin to handle your smtp settings.

See ‘wp smtp plugin’ or equivalent.

    Hi tgrrr,
Thanks for your response. So if I’m correct you’re asking me to disable pmpro and try to register using buddypress?

Could you please share the php file of pmpro email activation?

    Thanks in advance.
    Seasons’ Greetings,
    H

    Huzanf,

To start with: test if it’s a problem with: SMTP or plugin compatibility.

This isn’t about modifying the php from the original. Before you start adjusting coding. This is the equivalent of turning it off and on again. It’s in every forum on WordPress, repeated over and over again.

Disable all plugins. Including Buddypress if you’re using it. Signup to test if the email is sent. If not, fix your server SMTP settings.

If it works, enable pmpro. Test the email setting.
