Email address problem - how to make it clickable? (3 posts)

Hi. This is no doubt going to be laughably obvious to you all, but I can't find the answer anywhere in the support documents (probably because I don't know the correct terminology).

I have configured wordpress as a static website. On the contact page I want to display my email address. I have typed it into the visual editor but I don't know how to make it active - how to make it open a 'compose email' window in the reader's email client when the reader clicks on it. The only button available on the toolbar is for creating hypertext links with URLs. There's nothing for creating email addresses.

Like I said: really simple and basic but at the same time, not actually written down anywhere that I could find!

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Cheers

make it a hyperlink and make the link mailto:your@email.com

    In other words
    <a href="mailto:your@email.com">Your@Email.com</a>
