[resolved] EM Pages display under main blog hierarchy (6 posts)

    Hi,

Using EM 5.5.1, WP 3.6 and Buddypress 1.8.1

I'm having an issue with Events Manager pages displaying under the main blog (in this case, News) hierarchy for navigation purposes. The page displaying events itself is designated as a parent page with no hierarchy.

I've tried overriding the pages and NOT use formats, but this has no effect - it simply doesn't display any archive information, and doesn't have any effect on the page hierarchy.

An example can be found here:

you'll notice the events list is fine, but as soon as a single event or a category page is selected, the menu (and breadcrumbs) display 'News' as a parent.

    Hi,

Are you using a plugin to generate the breadcrumb nav, or is that part of your theme?

Using a plugin named Breadcrumb NavXT.

I could hard-code the breadcrumbs into the events template pages, but it makes no difference - the menu is still showing the event hierarchy for categories under News.

Do you have the News category listed under Events > Settings > Pages > Permalink Slugs - or as the Categories page under Events Categories on the same page?

    No.

In trying to fix the issue, I created a new permalink slug for event categories named events-categories (it didn't help). The permalink slug for events is events. None of the permalink slugs are set to news.
