[resolved] EM breaks AJAX on Admin / BP / GravityForms (8 posts)

Running WP 3.5.1, BP 1.7 Beta2 with some stuff.
Enabling EM breaks AJAX functionality in the admin area, so I can't add menu items, create or edit Gravity Forms forms, etc. Disabling EM solves the AJAX problem...

Actually, it also breaks the AJAX on the frontend, e.g. editing tickets is not possible.

Safari says: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) http://.../wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

Debug tells me there is a memory problem... Already increased to 128M, so I don't think this is the problem.

Holy shit. Increasing to 256M solved the problem - but... are you sure there is no memory leak?

chances are you either have a lot of plugins enabled, a LOT of events, a LOT of other information loading, or maybe some other plugin isn't working. Normaly 128M handles most situations quite well with EM.

no, neither. i am just about to set up the site. the theme uses a lot of JS though, and i am running BP 1.7 beta2.

good thing to have my own server. 256M "solves" the problems.

I haven't tried the BP beta yet, but if you're not running lots of data, the other issue could be too many plugins (although 128M would indicate a LOT of plugins installed).

Otherwise, it could even be a bug in BP 1.7? Will be testing out BP beta this week.
