ellipses break my feed

i just began using wordpress and noticed that anytime i used ellipses that it broke my rss feed. has anyone else noticed this? the code seems to replace ‘…’ with an unknown character.
anyone have a fix? i unfortunately don’t know php well enough to fix this. i think i’ll do more harm than good.
