I am trying to create a web site on the theme Blue Taste. Not being a techie I have run into a few obstacles. Here is the first of a few questions could use help with:
There are two boxes I would like to eliminate. One says July 12 and the other says Resources/Select a Category. How do I eliminate these two boxes?

There are literally thousands of WordPress themes - which means that many people won't be familiar with your particular theme. So a link to your site where people can see the theme might result in more responses.

Get rid of the date box is tricky and would involve some, potentially tricky, code & CSS editing. To get rid of the Resources/Select a Category, try adding an empty Text widget to your theme's sidebar.
