elements.style editting to move around social media buttons

On the top I have social media icons that I want to manipulate and move around. Preferably all on the same line. I’m using chrome, so when I select the element to inspect it, the source show me that its coming from element.style. I’ve read probably every other forum post on this topic, so I understand that its CSS built into the HTML, and I can clearly see that when looking at the code. My question is: I have no clue how to reach that. I don’t know what css class to put into my Custom CSS field, and I don’t know what file in my theme to sift through.
