   Cute. Got to love Cowboy Bebop :)
   Looks good in Safari and FireFox on a Mac. One thing missing is the blogtimes image on the bottom.

   That layout is likely to break in a number of browsers. As you say the menu wraps. You might want to add a clearer div before the footer. Then use clear: both in the css.

   With the greatest of respect to Zeldman & Co a blog has a specific design requirement which generally is not faced by designers of static pages - and it is certainly not addressed in that template. We do not know whether our menu or content is going to be longest. Nor do we know how long they and the parent container need be. That glish layout does not speak to those problems. Your div clear - dammit ;) is fine.
