    Hi,

    I'm building a website for a voluntary organisation, I'm using the Edublog template.

    The problem is I want to get rid of any sidebar and increase the content area width so that I can take advantage of the whole page, I can't find anything at the moment in the CSS file to script out.

    The website is at: http://www.blackburnwithdarwenworkclub.net.

    You need to use either a Child Theme or Custom Style/CSS plugin to modify themes not custom.

    The problem is I want to get rid of any sidebar

    Can you remove the sidebar in the template files relevant by deleting or commenting out code?
    If not, can you use CSS to display: none the sidebar?

    increase the content area

    On style.css line 206, remove the width.

    I can't see the option for the side bar unfortunately, I'm wondering if someone could have a look at the CSS.

    Are you using a Child Theme or Custom Style/CSS plugin ?

    you seem to have succeeded in removing the sidebar code;

    to stretch the content, add this into custom.css of your theme:

    .column-wide {width: 920px; margin-right: 0; }

    Thank you Andrew and Alcymyth for the help, now sorted. There was some wierd issue whereby everything went centred, but have sorted this out now. Thank you again :).
