edits/deletes to "Pages" section are not reflected in the site's navigation bar (4 posts)

So, here's a troubling problem. I find that when I edit the name of a page in the "Edit Pages" section of my dashboard, that that change is not reflected in the navigation sidebar on the actual website. For instance, I had a page whose title was "Donate", and I changed the name of it to "Mutual Aid". The new name of the page appears correctly on the website page itself, but in the navigation bar just to the left of that, it remains "Donate". Yes, I am sure I hit "update" and saved it, it just isn't responding!

I also encountered a bigger, even worse problem. I went to delete a page I no longer needed, and, though it is good and gone, deleted in both the Pages section and purged permanently from the Trash, its name STILL APPEARS in the navigation bar on the website!! I tried one users suggestion and created another page with the exact name as the one I deleted, saved it, and then deleted that again, but what worked for some people apparently will not work for me. Now, I have a useless button on my website, and when you click it, it directs you to a blank page that reads "Sorry, no posts matched your criteria."

    Can anyone help me??

    thanks,
    Gavin.

Could be a browser issue? Try deleting all temporary internet files, closing your browser and reopening it. Also try a forced re-fresh (think its Ctrl+F4), as this will ensure the page tries to re-load itself, even if it is still cached for some wierd reason.

    Thanks.

    duck_boy-

I tried that, it's not a browser issue, unfortunately. I found out that the problem is that I have a static menu, not an active one. Do you know how to make my navigation menu sidebar active??

Active how? Post the code for your side bar if possible.
