    only the admin gets sent to the admin after login

    I just tried on a non admin user and it still puts me in the wordpress style post panel. Is it because new users are made as Authors?

    yes. if a user is anything but subscriber WP sends to admin

    I thought the default role for new BuddyPress users was member rather than subscriber… Can the login redirect to the front for all users or selected roles? At least with the Pro version please.
