The new version 1.4 will not activate due to a PARSE error on Line 52 of edcal.php... I can not get this version to activate or install either FTPing or Automatically...
If I install Ver. 1.3.4 it works fine and no errors that is until I try to Upgrade to 1.4 then I get the error message again and it deactivates itself and won't work...
Tried 3-4 times but it refuses to work due to FATAL ERROR which is PARSE on line 52.
I am using WP 3.1.4 too... usually I have no problem with this plugin on any of my sites but the new version won't work/install properly and I use different servers and themes and they all have the same problem...
Think you've got a bug.
Thank you for using the Editorial Calendar. I'm sorry you're having trouble with it.
I've personally installed the plugin on over a dozen blogs and haven't seen this problem. Line 52 of the plugin should look like this:
protected $supports_custom_types;
Does your version have that as line 52. What version of PHP are you using? I would also recommend upgrading to WordPress 3.2. It might fix this issue and there are some important security fixes.

Thanx for the quick response... I checked the server to verify that it was using PHP 5 and lo and behold... they had set it back to PHP 4! I had updated that ages ago so they must have done some kind of maintenance and the settings got changed. Weird.
Anyway, I switched it to 5 again and tried updating the plugin and it worked perfectly! I'm so glad cause I really love this plugin and put it on every WP site I or my clients use!
Thanx again! Problem Solved.
Happy Dance! =}
I'm really glad we sorted it out. Thanks for using the plugin and a big thank you for installing it for other people. Please let me know if you have any more issues.
Best,
Zack
