Editor not responding

    Hello,

    I have a fresh install of wordpress on my local host (no plugins activated, default theme). When I try to update the ‘Hello World’ post the editor does not respond.

    I turned on the web console in Firefox Developer tools and get the message:
    ReferenceError: getUserSetting is not defined wp-tinymce.php:36

    As I say, this is a fresh localhost installation (XAMPP 3.2.1) so I do not have any plugins enabled. The problem occurs on Firefox 3.0, Chrome Version 36.0.1985.125. I have cleared the cache in both these browsers.

    I did not have this problem on older versions of wordpress.

    For anyone who is interested. I have solved this problem by reinstalling WordPress from the dashboard.

    Have no clue as to why this fixed my problem. I downloaded, unzipped, updated the config file and folowed the install procedure extactly the same as I would any other install. I do not have any issues with earlier versions of WordPress.
