    This is a real frustating problem. I create a post all carefully formatted and when I publish it, WP removed some blank lines and often other formatting that I worked on.

    The editor or the publish function is really buggy. This wastes so much time and takes a lot of the enjoyment away from using WP.

    I tried using Windows live writer and same issue.

    Posts look great in the editor, but when published I experience various formatting changes.

    Any fix for this????

    This will give you a hard line feed: ‘<br class=”blank” />’
    Put it in the html editor – it will survive switching between visual and html editing.

    Might be some other editors and fixes – but this works for me.

    I cannot understand why WP cannot issue an update with an editor that works correctly. The additional time it takes to remove extraneous characters and add linebreak code after creating an article or posting is absolutely ridiculous. If this was not a customer’s site, I would have ripped it out long ago and moved it to Joomla.

    I’ve upgraded to the latest and greatest. Is there anything in the future plans to address this? The editor is the core of the application. For heaven’s sake it’s blog software with a broken editor.

    Thank you!!! That is a great plugin and solved the issues. Odd note, to get a return you must insert “two” returns to get one, but no more editing the article to add breaks or remove odd characters!!
