When I save a post in the editor and/or publish the post, it will often delete most of the post. When I revert to past versions, characters like  and “ get inserted in many places, specifically where " and ' used to be, but also in other areas with no character replacement.
I searched and found some posts on the Â, but nothing on the bigger problem which is the deleted portions of the posts.

Some of the published posts show evidence of the errant characters and many are clearly cut off too soon.
