Editing Theme

    Plain and simple. I can’t edit my theme on my new website. It tells me

    “generally just need to upload the theme folder into your wp-content/themes directory.”

    Unfortunately, I do not know how to get to that. Could someone provide even a brief list on how to do this, I’m at a loss.

    Guess we all have to start somewhere. 😉 First get a reliable ftp client like Filezilla. Download a theme from somewhere such as the WordPress theme repository to your harddrive and unzip it. Then connect to your site (you can get the details from your host) and browse to the directory wp-content/themes and upload to your heart’s content.

    Be careful when you upload as most themes are packaged in parent folders. For example, you want to upload a theme called Apple. The path should look like wp-content/themes/apple and not wp-content/themes/apple/apple
