    Hello,

    Note: I'm a wordpress noob.

So my boss wanted me to change some stuff on the front page of the site. I've been trying to find the index page under pages and it wasn't there, so I looked into settings>reading and saw that it's not a static home page, but displays 'latest posts' instead.

My question is if there is no static home page to find and edit in the wordpress page editor, where (and how) can I edit elements of the front page (e.g. change title/banner names, re-arrange some stuff, etc.)??

    Thanks,
    Corey

Try looking in the theme's index.php template file.

I have figured it out, thank you. I had to navigate through to the theme and edit stuff from there, as I said, I'm noob :P

    Thanks for your help,
    Corey

No problem :-) You might want to take some time out to review Theme Development for an overview of the template hierarchy.
