[resolved] Editing Tables in Visual Editor (5 posts)

I built a table on a client page to hold some data. I built in html view and, unfortunately, didn't check it out in visual mode. The client wanted to add an additional row to the table and wasn't able to do it in the visual editor (tiny mce).

I assumed I'd be able to place my cursor in the last cell of a row, hit Control-Enter or something similar and a new row would be written. Boy, was I mistaken.

Does anyone know an easy way (non-html) for a user to add a new row at the end of, or anywhere else, within a table

  2. Have a look at the Advanced Tiny MCE plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tinymce-advanced/

It has the wysiwyg buttons for tables.

Thanks Christine. I'll take a look at that. Appreciate the suggestion.

Thanks for the tip esmi. I've already installed plugin suggested by Christine. But I'll download wp-table-reloaded and check it out on my development server. Always looking for an easier way to do things... for my clients, I mean :)
