• Hi,

I’m trying to figure out how to change 1) the font of the main page and 2) the background color of the main page. My understanding is that the “styles.css” doc in the template/default folder (that is the template i am using) is where we change this info. But, I changed what seems like the background color of the page and still it didnt change my page color. I am perplexed by this:

    [moderated – long code removed]

    Help?

That theme’s original name is “kubrick” so please don’t be confused by the link I’ve given – the kubrick theme is the default theme (however why, I’ll never know!).

It’s also notoriously hard to modify.

The background is actually an image, for one thing.

o no! notoriously hard to modify…sigh. but it’s such a gorgeous layout. so simle and minimalist.

are there any resources that give people tutorials on how to modify this particular template, or just wordpress templates in general?

    i hope…?

anyone have advice on how to edit the difficult kubrick template? i really am at a loss and my blog is just sitting there with this really basic formatting that doesnt look very good…

    anyone?

    This was just discussed.

Esentially, the Kubrick layout uses images imbedded in the PHP code to get its look. I suggest staying as far away from this layout as you can. It’s hard to modify and can be very frustruating since the inherent images and such in the PHP tend to override what is in your style.css.

Look around in different places. There are some very pretty and minimlist themes out there that could suit you just fine and will be easy to edit.

    Good luck!
