Editing Search Results (CSS/Style) (4 posts)

I use WordPress 1.5, recently installed. I have been working on my own theme (not for public demand, I just need to nest my weblog in my existing layout). So far, it's going well, but I'm having trouble with editing the CSS.

I finally got the comments section down thanks to scouring documentation, but I can't find much on the search section. I've tried inserting and creating all sorts of CSS style code to edit it, but the search results style doesn't change.

Can anyone point in the direction of some good documentation for editing search results?

Did you see the Template Hierarchy on the Codex?

I figured a way to get around the problem. Not pretty code probably, but it'll do for me. Now I have other mystery bugs to puzzle over. Like why code<hr class="hr1" />/code suddenly makes different length lines. (sigh)

err make that '<hr class="hr1" />' not with those code tags. New to the forums.
