I would like to edit a permalink for a page so it points to a page within a sub-directory.
For example instead of http://www.mysite.com/page
I want it to point to http://www.mysite.com/folder/page.html
I can successfully point to .html pages by installing the following plugin. However i still have a problem with pointing to a subdirectory.
When I edit the permalink it removes special characters like the / character so I end up with: http://www.mysite.com/folderpage.html which is incorrect.
I tried to temporarily change the default permalink setting in permalinks but this did not solve the problem.
Thanks

Could someone at least tell me if it is possible to do what i require without having to adjust the source code or install a plugin.
Is there a plugin available for this or not?
I just want a page link on my wordpress blog to point to:
http://www.mysite.com/folder/page.html
Instead of
http://www.mysite.com/folderpage.html
I could add a page which is a child of a category. However this would mess up my page links and would not be good for SEO
Thanks

I use LJCustomMenuLinks Plugin to add urls or change the options of a page - the plugin will install a section at the end of the Page Edit. Check it out.
