Does anyone know why, in 2.0.3, every time I edit a page I get new blank paragraphs - (p)(/p) throughout - and strange box characters at the end of my pages? It's driving me nuts having to re-edit every single page four, five, or six times to get rid of all the extra whitespace that comes back and won't go away!!

It would help if you would provide a pointer to a page where this is occuring.
- Are you using the rich text editor?
- Where exactly do the extra tags appear?
- Are you accidently inserting extra carriage returns when you create a post?

I'm using the visual rich editor. I've managed to narrow down the problem. It is related to using the <center> tag when editing the HTML manually.
