• Hi. This is probably a stupid question.
I want to edit the meta tags for all my individual pages and posts, using standard HTML editing using TextEdit. I want to download the generated pages that wordpress has made, edit the meta tags, and re-upload them. Is there any problem with me doing this?

I realize that I need to edit the header.php file in my wordpress them according to the directions here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Meta_Tags_in_WordPress

But what I want is to edit the other (Non Generic) pages on my site, without using the wordpress control panel/dashboard. Do I need to update the wordpress control panel after I edit the meta tags or something like that?

Thanks very much for your help, sorry for the ignorant question (it’s not very clear in that link up there.)

    -Chris

Re-upload them to where? They’re generated pages.
