Editing menu – top or/and left menu

    How can I:
    move my second and third level menu to the top menu (like old fashioned websites have)?

    or if not possible

    collapse the left menu and only expand when needed?

    The website is not live yet and I am a complete beginner, so will need very step-by-step instructions if possible. Thanks.
