Editing Links function

I have added some links to external sites using the links function on the dashboard. I then added these links to my sidebar using the links widget.

If someone clicks on one of the links, they are taken off my site to the other site. I would like them to open the link in a new window/tab. This is possible for links generated within posts and pages, but I cannot find the option on the links function.
