Editing images in wordpress to create thumbnails for a gallery page (1 post)

    Hello...

I'm new to wordpress and am having trouble with editing images with the wordpress editor.

I have a portfolio page that I have thumbnails on and when you click on the thumbnail, it launches the fully sized image in a lightbox. But the default crop on the image is a bit obscure, the image is a full body shot of a model, but the thumbnail shows the torso and not the top of the image - I want the thumbnail to display the head and shoulders, and when you click, for the lightbox to open the full image:

As you can see, the thumbnail is not very good - I've tried cropping the image and applying it to the thumbnail only, but nothing happens.

Any advice anyone could offer would be gratefully received.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
