Hello,
I'm new to WP and was having trouble adding categories (I still am...I got the ajax permission error)..so I ended up changing my blog URL under admin > options > general options and now I can't get back into the admin panel (I get a cookies error). How can I change the URL back using FTP? I believe it's my only option since I can't access the admin area. I looked in the options_general.php file but didn't see anywhere to edit the html.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Don't ever edit any files... and don't ever play with those two URI values - they are not toys, they are there for a reason!
The fix:

Hello Moshu,
Thanks for the link. I followed the directions verbatim..I get this error:
A session had already been started - ignoring session_start()
in /home/….blog/emergency-url-change.php, line 82.
Would it be easier for me to try to figure out how to change it in the phpadmin?

I found this link in another reply by you: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/
It solved that problem.
The second part of my problem was adding categories. I get this error message:
Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /blog/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php could not be found on this server.

Apache/1.3.37 Server at ..... Port 80
I searched around for a solution, but could not figure out anything.
ffr, what you saw with my script was a cookie issue of some kind..
