Editing footer.php and I'm getting a permision denied error (5 posts)

    Hey there,
    I'm editing the site and i need to take out something from the footer.. and it gives me these errors when I try to edit it ..basically i just want to take out the powered by wordpress line.. Please help me out ..i have no idea why its giving me this error..thanks

    looks like those files needs their permission changed

    so change the permission of the theme-editor file? to what? 777? because i tried it and it doesnt allow me to .. :( ..

    normal permissions for files is 644 and for folders is 755

    that's so weird i tried 644 and i got this
