[resolved] Editing custom post types in 3.0beta2 (5 posts)

I'm loving the new custom post types in 3.0. I am having some problems with editing them, though.

The "add new" UI works fine, and brings up an edit screen with all the proper supports. However, when editing the custom post types I've defined, committing "Update" changes the post-type back to the default - "page" if the "hierarchical" argument is set to "true", "post" otherwise.

Is this a bug being worked out, or is there another argument I need to set to ensure the proper post-type is preserved on editing an entry?

Actually, on testing to figure out my problem, I've narrowed it down a bit more. The post-type is only being changed if the post title changes, otherwise the correct post-type remains associated with the post. I'm thinking this must be a bug in progress. I'll report it to the beta-testers list...

I was not able to duplicate your problem using version 3.0-beta2-14697

Using default Permalinks just in case that's relevant.

Problem was with another plugin: the Custom Field Template plugin. I think it is fixed in the latest upgrade of that plugin; at least, I'm not experiencing the problem anymore.
