Editing custom post types in 3.0beta2

I’m loving the new custom post types in 3.0. I am having some problems with editing them, though.

The “add new” UI works fine, and brings up an edit screen with all the proper supports. However, when editing the custom post types I’ve defined, committing “Update” changes the post-type back to the default – “page” if the “hierarchical” argument is set to “true”, “post” otherwise.

Is this a bug being worked out, or is there another argument I need to set to ensure the proper post-type is preserved on editing an entry?
