I recently edited a comment to fix some broken HTML and now the body of the comment will not display at all. I still see the name of the poster complete with date/timestamp and I can see the body if I attempt to edit it again. I've also verified that the comment is in the DB as I expect it to be.
Here's the offending comment: http://www.coolestfamilyever.com/2007/06/01/our-options-according-to-me/#comment-1887
Here's the body of the comment (as I see it when editing):
The authors of the angry-at-high-gas-prices emails are ignorant of how the economy actually functions, especially with respect to the petroleum industry. I wrote about this last year in this post: http://reachupward.blogspot.com/2006/05/why-gas-station-boycotts-dont-work.html Another interesting tidbit that these folks fail to comprehend is that the price you pay at the gas station down the street has as much to do with how much oil people in China and India are using as it does with how much you and your neighbors are using. You don't like paying high gas prices? Fine. Show me a reasonable and cheaper alternative. And don't lecture me about the evils of living in the burbs. Like most other parents, I have little desire to raise my children in the middle of the big city.
Any thoughts as to why it would disappear just for doing some edits?
