   Hi!

   I'm brand new to wordpress but know some basic HTML/CSS coding. I switched to the twenty eleven theme thinking it'd be easier to troubleshoot... wrong! More stuff in the code that I will never use.

   MY PROBLEM: I'm creating a child theme for twenty eleven and want to change the default page.php template so that all pages are centered, which basically would move the text and slideshow plugin. Right now it appears shifted to the right, and I want it to be exactly 800px wide and aligned to the navigation bar.

   OTHER INFO: I'm using Bluehost, firefox, firebug, and multi-site is enabled to allow for subdirectories (purely so I can organize the URLs).

   Note:
   I don't want to get rid of the sidebars completely though because later I want to have non-static pages that have sidebar capabilities. Besides, when I changed the page template to "showcase" that didn't help and when I changed the theme layout to "one column" it didn't help either. There was still about 50px margin to the left of the page/post.

   Now I've changed the theme options to single column and adjusted a different page tag style and that seemed to work... although now I have no sidebar. :(
