  • @gollumxcore Initial scan of your geoplaces theme by templatic shows that you only need to create two or three files to ensure compatibility of your WordPress theme with the BP template files transferred to your geoplaces theme folder in server. That would have in effect, covered the layout of your Profile Edit page.

If that’s what you did or if you went through the 16 file change, then you might just need to re-upload the buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/members/ files into your theme’s /member/ folder in wp-content/themes/yourthemename/members/

N.B.1: if you need further assistance with a private site, it would be better if you provided a test user account (not admin) with username and password. After the issue is resolved, you can delete said test user account. Not many are willing to register, including myself.

N.B.2: I didn’t check if you’re using custom menu for your main navigation. If you are, you’re doing it wrong. You should be posting the URL’s and not words only like hosts, islandmap, faq etc.

thank you for the response! i’m such a noob, not sure why i didn’t provide a test profile to begin with…haha

so i did what you suggested, took the files from the buddypress members folder and copied them over to the themes members folder. all it did was break by theme structure. it put my sidebar content below the profile…and the edit page was still messed up. so i just put everything back the way it was.

the navigation is custom…but it’s all dummy content in there right now. i guess i should make note of that kind of stuff haha. the links aren’t working in the menu cause i’ve just put placeholders to style the menu. i’m going to add the links in the menu later 🙂

    anyways…i created a test profile

    testuser
    testuserpw

thank you for all of your help so far
