   I've been using WP 2.7 for a few weeks now without any problem. That is until yesterday. I'm not having any problem logging in (so far) as I have read others experiencing, but yesterday I started having problems with writing and editing posts.

   When I'm in my admin write/edit post screen, whenever I try to make changes, the page starts to reload, but gets hung up and doesn't reload. So all I have is a blank white screen. Manually refreshing the page does not help. Clicking on the address bar and hitting enter brings the page up again, but when I try to work on the page, the reload cycle starts again.

   I had installed three plugins a few days ago, but deactivating them has not had any affect in correcting this issue.

   As I said in the beginning, this only started happening yesterday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   I really need help. I can't edit posts, even newly written, until this issue is resolved.

   Correction, I can't even attempt to write a new post without the page reloading. I've looked every where and can't find any information as to why this is happening now.

   I have this nagging suspicion that it has something to do with the categories menu loading at the right-hand side. The layout in that part of the page seems to be messed up, too. Inside the window it shows what appears to be another IFrame containing the wordpress application? I've uploaded a screenshot here:

   This could be a complete red-herring that has nothing to do with the spontaneous reload of the post page, but it seems like both odd behaviors started happening around the same time.

   Couple more hints
   - disabling "categories" on edit page didn't seem to help
   - it doesn't seem to happen to me on Safari, only Firefox.

   Safari isn't my primary browser, but if that's what it takes to get this thing working again, that's what I'll do!

   I'm still having the problem when I use FireFox, but not if I use IE. Really don't want to switch browsers. I would like to know why it acts up on the edit post and write new post pages and not on any of the other admin sections?

   There's another thread on here similar: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/234973?replies=5 If you have FireFox FireBug plug-in try disabling it or making sure that it is not suspended in the status bar. It also seems that the Gears plug-in may also cause this.

    @MarkRH: thanks for the FireBug hint, it saved my day. Not suspending it works fine for me.

    Thanks - I had firebug suspended and it caused this problem. Resuming it fixed it.
