Edit, Login/Out, and Comments only work in IE (Not FireFox) (8 posts)

I recently installed WordPress on my site to replace my homebrew blogger. I added the PHP code to incorporate WP into my site as told by tutorials, but I've noticed an odd problem.

When using Internet Explorer to look at my site (http://www.iamnerd.net), I can login and out, see "edit this" for my posts, and post comments. However, when I look at my site in FireFox, none of this works.

When I login with FireFox, the "Login" link doesn't change to "Logout", "Edit This" doesn't show up, and people can SEE comments but can't post them.

Again, everything works fine in IE, but not FireFox.

    1. If you want us to check the commenting feature - remove the login requirement.
    2. WP's default character encoding is utf-8. Obviously, your earlier blog had something different (iso-8859-1 ?) because your text is all messed up. Try to change the encoding in the Options.

The commenting show's up when I turn off the login requirement.

And this blog doesn't have any text from my earlier blog--this is all WordPress now. I really don't know what's up with the messed up text.

But does anyone know why the login/out only works in IE, but not firefox?

...I did, BTW, fix the character thing. Thx. But the main issue is still the login/out.

There is a little bit of mess with the URIs. My suspicion is everything is related to that:
You say your blog is here - http://www.iamnerd.net/
but in reality it dispays this - http://radio.mindjobonline.com/
and the admin login is here - http://mindjobonline.com/ctrlPanel/wp-login.php

iamnerd.net redirects to radio.mindjobonline.com--the blog's really on radio.mindjobonline.com (it's just easier for me to give out iamnerd.net).

But yes, the wordpress install is on http://mindjobonline.com/ctrlPanel/ but I told wordpress that the actual blog is in a different folder on the site in the options.

[Update] I looked at the index.php that WordPress made as part of the install (http://www.mindjobonline.com/ctrlPanel/) and that works fine in FireFox--but when I call the loop functions to use on MY site, it doesn't.

I'm having the same issue, seems almost like the login cookie doesn't maintain on the home page? Same thing for me, I can click login again, and voila, I'm back on the dashboard as the user I'd just logged in as... IE works just fine.
