   today was the first time i tried to use the edit image function in wordpress 2.9.2

   all the funcionality seems to be there except;

   1. I cannot input dimensions for a selection, the boxes are grayed out.
   2. I can input an aspect ratio but it doesnt lock the selection to that aspect ratio
   2. When I drag to resize the selection the numbers in the selection size vanish so i cant actually see them
   3. I cannot save any changes because "save" is grayed out.

   whats that all about?

   Did you test it with the default theme? And, disable your plugins to see if one of those might be problematic?

   no plugins used and this is in the admin area why would a theme affect it?

   Edit: checked with default theme - same problems.

   I mentioned the plugins, because I thought you might perhaps have an image plugin that could be causing issues.

   its a totally new install, ive not even used akismet

   Do you have javascript enabled with your browser?

    For me, the selection part is greyed out until I click on the image and choose a crop section.
