edit home page posts by category order

    HI i am pretty new to wordpress and have a little knowledge on PHP

    i am using theme table

    all the possts from home page is order by recent posts but i want to change it to

    1. order by category
    2. 3 posts in each category
    3. and want to show more posts link

    can any body suggest me in this how to edit the theme for the above result.
